BluGem sponsor the Young Ambassador scheme at Children's Hospice South West.

Support for Children's Hospice South West

Two members of our team, John Davies and Chris Vanstone, spent an afternoon at a training session for the Young Ambassadors of Children's Hospice South West, one of the charities supported by BluGem's community welfare program. You can spot them in this photo because they are the taller ones at the back. John and Chris were there to share some of their business experience as part of a planning exercise for fundraising events that will be run by the Young Ambassadors, who are aged between 16 and 18.

In the first photograph we see Chris playacting the fundamentals of managing a product build activity by 'buying' the resources needed for creating a parachute design, that needed to be on budget and delivered on time. This team activity helps to provide the tools needed for managing future fundraising projects. One of the best adverts for Children's Hospice South West is the bright orange hoodies that the Young Ambassadors wear (as sponsored by BluGem, which is why they mention our name too). John and Chris promised to give lots of free advertising for Children's Hospice South West by wearing their hoodies around town, although they are a little too old to qualify as Young Ambassadors!
